Dex and Bokka both help you keep track of people, but they work at different levels. Dex keeps one address book across every channel and nudges you when it's been too long. Bokka is where the LinkedIn conversations happen: the inbox, the reply and the follow-up, with a pipeline on top.

Bokka is an AI-first CRM for your LinkedIn inbox. Dex is a personal CRM that gathers your contacts from many sources and reminds you to keep in touch. A personal CRM is an address book that tracks relationships rather than sales deals.

Which helps you answer LinkedIn messages?

Bokka wins: it is a LinkedIn inbox. You read, reply, archive, set a reminder or move a deal on without opening LinkedIn, all from the keyboard. On Pro, AI drafts the reply in your voice and summarises long threads. Dex says its browser extension syncs your LinkedIn connections in the background; its pages don't describe reading or replying to LinkedIn messages.

A conversation summary under the thread header: the main points and an Up next line saying what you owe.

Which keeps a wider view of your relationships?

Dex wins on breadth. It merges contacts from more than 15 sources into one record with a timeline of meetings, calls, emails and messages. It also sends pre-meeting briefs and updates when connections change roles (Dex's home page, retrieved 24 October 2026). Bokka's view is LinkedIn: a contact panel with labels, notes, CRM fields and reply status, and People lists of your connections, followers and invitations without a cap.

People, Connections: a list of connections with labels and badges, tabs for Followers and Following, and a Tips panel.

Which is better at follow-ups?

Bokka wins for LinkedIn follow-ups; Dex for staying in touch. Bokka knows whose turn it is: the Waiting on you and Waiting on them views group conversations by how long they've waited. You can also be reminded if someone doesn't reply. Dex's reminders work across every channel, on a cadence you set per person.

Which works on more devices?

Dex wins. It has apps for web, iOS, Android, macOS and Windows. Bokka runs in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Arc on a desktop or laptop, and doesn't work on phones.

How Bokka treats your LinkedIn account

  • Your messages are loaded into your browser and stay there, on your device. Bokka's servers keep how you organise them (labels, stages, fields, notes, reminders, snippets) and a list of your conversations without their messages.
  • Bokka never sees your LinkedIn password. A small browser extension works inside the LinkedIn session you already have, and Bokka's servers never connect to LinkedIn.
  • Requests go from your own browser at a measured pace, only while Bokka is open in a tab. There is no background syncing while you're away.
  • No automation: no sequences, auto-replies, scheduled or bulk campaigns, and nothing is sent unless you send it. AI, and any assistant you connect over MCP, drafts only.

Pricing compared

Dex is cheaper on a yearly plan. Dex's Premium is $20 and Professional $34 a month, or $12 and $20 a month billed yearly; Team is $40 a month. Premium and Professional start with a 6-day trial that needs a card. Bokka starts with a free 14-day trial, AI included and no credit card. After it, Starter is $25 and Pro is $35 per user a month ($19 and $30 for your first month). Team, at $50, is coming soon.

Who should choose which?

  • Your days are spent in LinkedIn messages, selling, hiring or raising: Bokka.
  • You want one address book for everyone you know, on your phone too: Dex.
  • Both: Dex for the relationships, Bokka for the LinkedIn conversations. They don't overlap much.
